Our client, a well-established General Insurance organization, is seeking a strategic and seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial stewardship and strategy.
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, financial governance, capital efficiency, and long-term value creation across the organization. This role is best suited for a commercially grounded and operationally hands-on finance leader within the insurance industry who is looking to step into a broader leadership position with increased ownership and visibility. This is a lean and operationally involved finance leadership role. Candidates should be comfortable being closely involved in reporting, governance, compliance, finance operations, and execution.
Lead the overall finance strategy and financial management of the organization
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and regulatory compliance
Manage accounting operations, treasury, capital, and investment management activities
Oversee statutory reporting, audit, taxation, and financial reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and engagement with relevant authorities
Drive profitability, solvency management, and cost optimization initiatives
Partner closely with senior leadership and the Board on strategic financial matters
Lead and develop the finance team to support business growth and operational excellence
Support organizational transformation, operational efficiency, and financial process improvements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CA, or equivalent is required
Minimum 12–15 years of relevant finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within insurance or financial services
Strong understanding of insurance financials, MFRS 17, RBC Framework, actuarial processes, and regulatory/statutory reporting
Hands-on exposure to MFRS17 implementation, finance controllership, and insurance finance operations will be advantageous
Candidates with direct General Insurance or General Takaful finance experience will be highly regarded
Proven experience in financial governance, strategic financial planning, and regulatory engagement
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills
Experience presenting to senior management, Board members, auditors, and regulators will be advantageous
