Typically, the content of a CV is as below:
1.Personal details - This section will include your name, address, and contact information.
2.Employment - This is the most important part of the CV. It is where you carefully match your working life against the demands of the job you are applying for.
3.Education - You may have this as the second item if you have no past relevant working experience, e.g if you are a new graduate seeking your first employment.
4.Interests - The interests section is your chance to show that you are a rounded human being and to show how interesting you are.
5.Extra information - This is your chance to put in anything that doesn't fit well elsewhere and paint a picture of some of the skill you have. You can also use this section to say why you are interested in the type of work you are applying for.
6.References - This section speaks for itself. It is where you give the names and addresses and phone numbers of the people you have asked to give you a reference.
What is the difference between a CV and Resume?
Resume: A concise document typically not longer than one page. The goal of a resume is to make an individual stand out from the competition. A typical resume contains a summary of relevant job experience and education.
CV: Short for Curriculum Vitae, which means course of life in Latin. It is an in-depth document providing a high level of detail about your personal information, education, past employment, interest, skills, as well as any other accomplishments like publications, awards, honors etc. The document should be organized chronologically and provides an overview of an individual’s full working career.
