Junior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Our client, a growing engineering and construction company in Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on Junior Electrical Engineer to support project execution, site coordination, and technical operations across electrical installation and infrastructure projects.

This role is suitable for candidates with exposure to electrical site works, project coordination, and contractor environments who are looking to grow within a fast-paced project-based organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Site Execution

• Conduct site visits, inspections, and monitor electrical installation works

• Support project execution in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines

• Coordinate day-to-day project activities with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams

• Assist in resolving technical and operational issues arising on site

Tendering, Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare quotations, tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost estimations according to customer requirements

• Prepare and submit project documentation, including Method of Statement (MOS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), testing reports, and authority submissions

• Collaborate with draftsmen and project teams to produce project drawings and documentation

• Monitor project progress and support reporting activities

Stakeholder & Client Coordination

• Attend meetings, inspections, and discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and suppliers

• Respond to client enquiries relating to technical and operational matters

• Address customer complaints, non-conformance issues, and coordinate corrective actions where required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, construction, or contracting environments

• Exposure to electrical site installation and project coordination works

• Experience with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) related projects is an added advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is an added advantage

• Able to work independently with a positive and hands-on attitude

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary: RM2,800 – RM5,000

• Performance bonus: Up to 1–3 months based on project delivery
