About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BPC Consultant to support and lead SAP BPC operations within a large enterprise AMS environment. The consultant will work closely with Finance, FP&A, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure stable, compliant, and optimized planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.

Core Responsibilities

AMS Governance & Functional Leadership

• Act as the SAP BPC functional lead and SME within the AMS support environment.

• Own application stability, performance, incident management, and service delivery governance.

• Drive SLA/KPI compliance, escalation management, and service review activities.

• Mentor and support junior consultants and analysts across BPC support streams.

SAP BPC Functional Support

• Provide support for SAP BPC Embedded / Standard (NetWeaver) environments.

• Support Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Consolidation, Financial Close, and Statutory Reporting processes.

• Resolve issues related to Process Chains, Data Manager Packages, Script Logic / Business Rules, Work Status & Security Models, and Data Integrity & Reconciliations.

• Support system stabilization, optimization, and functional enhancements.

Incident, Change & Compliance Management

• Manage L3/L4 incidents, production issues, and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Review and support change requests, enhancements, and optimization initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, governance, and financial control requirements.

• Support testing, deployment, and post-release stabilization activities.

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

• Work closely with Finance, FP&A, Consolidation teams, IT leadership, and business stakeholders.

• Translate business planning and reporting requirements into scalable SAP BPC solutions.

• Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and process improvement discussions.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Architecture, Integration & Optimization

• Support integration with SAP S/4HANA, ECC (FI/CO), BW/BW on HANA, and external data sources.

• Support planning model design, consolidation logic, elimination rules, and performance optimization initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to improve automation, process efficiency, and user experience.

• Support transformation initiatives including SAP SAC Planning environments where applicable.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain and govern functional specifications, SOPs, support playbooks, and knowledge base articles.

• Support AMS transitions, onboarding activities, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

• Ensure documentation standards and operational best practices are maintained.

Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP consulting experience with strong SAP BPC expertise.

• Experience supporting SAP BPC Embedded / Standard (NetWeaver) environments.

• Strong knowledge of Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Consolidation, and Financial Reporting processes.

• Experience in AMS / production support environments.

• Strong understanding of SAP BW/BW on HANA and SAP FI/CO integration.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and SAP SAC Planning is an added advantage.
