About the Role
We are supporting a global technology consulting organization in identifying an experienced SAP MM/EWM Lead Consultant to support a large-scale SAP AMS environment within the Oil & Gas industry.
This role will be responsible for SAP MM and SAP EWM support, incident management, enhancements, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with business users, technical teams, and offshore support teams to ensure stable and efficient SAP operations.
Core Responsibilities
Manage incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and production support activities
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
Support month-end inventory closing and physical inventory activities
Participate in on-call support and critical issue resolution
Ensure SLA and KPI-driven service delivery
Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Source Lists
Support Inventory Management processes including goods movements, consignment, and subcontracting
Manage External Services Management processes
Support pricing, tax configuration, and master data activities
Maintain Material Master, Vendor Master, and Purchasing Info Records
Support integration with SD, PP, QM, and FICO modules
Support inbound warehouse processes including ASN, Goods Receipt, Deconsolidation, and Putaway
Support outbound operations including Wave Management, Picking, Packing, and Shipping
Manage replenishment, slotting, and physical inventory processes
Support advanced EWM functionalities including Handling Units (HU), RF, Cross-Docking, and Yard Management
Support integration with TM, GTS, and ERP systems
Support and troubleshoot IDoc and BAPI integrations
Monitor and resolve qRFC queue issues
Work closely with ABAP, PI/PO, and technical teams on interface-related issues
Gather business requirements and prepare Functional Specifications (FS)
Support configuration changes, testing, and deployment activities
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Support regression testing and release management activities
Recommend process and system improvements
Maintain configuration documents, knowledge transfer materials, and operational run books
Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements
Ensure system integrity and master data quality
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline
Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM and SAP EWM
Experience supporting AMS environments and L2/L3 support operations
Good understanding of procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, and logistics processes
Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments is preferred
Exposure to IDoc, BAPI, qRFC, and SAP integrations
Experience supporting enhancements, UAT, and production releases
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Prior Oil & Gas industry experience will be highly advantageous
