Senior Human Resource Generalist

Introduction

Our client, a growing engineering-based company in Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on and reliable Senior HR Generalist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of HR operations within a developing organisation.


Role Overview

This is a standalone HR role responsible for managing payroll, employee lifecycle processes, and supporting HR operations, compliance, and coordination, including participation in monthly OSH meetings. The role requires a hands-on individual who can work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Statutory

·        Manage end-to-end payroll processing (e.g. Infotech system)

·        Ensure accuracy of salaries, claims, OT, and deductions

·        Handle statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB)

·        Maintain confidentiality of payroll data

HR Operations

·        Maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation

·        Manage onboarding and offboarding processes

·        Administer leave, attendance, and HR data

·        Support implementation of HR policies and procedures

Administration & Coordination

·        Provide administrative support to management

·        Assist with internal coordination and documentation

OSH & Compliance

·        Participate in monthly OSH meetings

·        Support safety-related documentation and coordination

Immigration (if applicable)

·        Support work permit, visa applications, and liaison with relevant authorities/agents


Requirements

·        Minimum 5 years of HR experience

·        Hands-on payroll experience (essential)

·        Knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, PCB)

·        Able to work independently in a standalone role

·        High integrity and strong sense of confidentiality

·        Good communication and organisational skills

·        Immigration experience is an added advantage
